JOB SUMMARY

The Warehouse Manager is an exciting and critical role that oversees the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of goods; ensures workplace health and safety requirements are met and plans the arrangement of goods within the warehouse.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Select products and assembles customer orders in preparation for final check and delivery.
• Prepare pallets for shipping with appropriate labeling information
• Receive products and ensure delivery accuracy
• Ensure that the warehouse is properly staffed during normal business hours or other hours as may be deemed necessary by management
• Ensure that all floor areas, offices, front walkways, dock and dumpster areas are clean, neat and free of any debris; ensure workplace safety
• Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Five to eight years of distribution or warehouse experience, preferably in the foodservice industry. Previous supervisory experience highly preferred

SKILLS:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work comfortably under pressure
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize individual and staff workloads to meet deadlines
• Effectively communicate with internal and external customers (management, coworkers, and suppliers.)
